New London-based distribution company Jetpack Distribution, headed up by Disney alum Dominic Gardiner, has inked deals with producers in Australasia for the exclusive global distribution rights to two kids shows, Heart and Soul and The Moe Show (pictured).
A preschool puppet live-action series, The Moe Show (52 x 11 minutes), created by Auckland-based production company, Pop-Up Workshop, follows the adventures of Moe, a friendly, furry monster who lives with his Teddy in their treehouse. Under the terms of the agreement, Jetpack acquires global distribution rights (excluding New Zealand) to the show.
In a further deal, Jetpack has picked up global distribution rights (excluding Australia) to two seasons of live-action tween series Heart & Soul (26 x half hours) from Australian production company 1440 Productions. Recently broadcast on ABC3 in Australia, the first season will be followed by a new season launching later this year. The show follows a band of 30 school girls as they brave tensions, line-up changes and heartbreak to triumph at some of the world’s top music festivals.
Jetpack launched last June, with former director of acquisitions at Walt Disney Television, EMEA, Gardiner at the helm as CEO.
