In the lead up to the new Goosebumps movie’s October 2015 premiere, Scholastic has scared up a licensing program featuring 13 new licensees to create a range of kids products based on the film.

As licensing agent for the IP, Scholastic Media is working with Sony Pictures Consumer Products on the licensing program.

For apparel, new partners include Berkshire (headwear, footwear, rain gear, winter accessories, sock), C-Life (t-shirts, fleece and thermal tops), SG Companies (girls and boys sleepwear), Rasta Imposta (Halloween Costumes) and Cotton On (t-shirts, stationery).

On the games and entertainment front, licensees coming aboard are Cosmic Forces (mobile game), GameMill Entertainment (PC/video and online games) and Outset Media Corp. (board/activity/card games).

In the stationery and poster realm, Scholastic has signed on GB Eye (posters, novelty), Katalyst (stationery, novelty) and Trends International (posters, bookmarks).

Rounding out the list are Card.com (pre-paid payment cards) and SRM Idea Lab, which will produce a selection of novelties (light/sound slammers, slap bracelets, flashlights, plush sound gloves, book lights, bookmarks, sound machines, toys, plush).

In addition, Scholastic Audio is producing audio books based on the film, while Scholastic’s Trade book publishing division will introduce five new movie tie-in titles.

Based on the hit book series by R.L. Stine, the new movie from Sony Pictures Entertainment stars Kung Fu Panda actor Jack Black.

With more than 400 million books in print, Goosebumps is the second bestselling children’s book series of all time. The brand had its small screen debut in 1995, with a live-action television series produced by Scholastic Media.
