Geeky adventure toon Get Ace is experiencing a boost in popularity thanks to new international broadcast sales closed by its global distributor 9 Story Media Group.

TVE (Spain), Zoom (Israel), E-Junior (UAE) and TVNZ (New Zealand) have all picked up the 52 x 11-minute animated comedy series from Aussie prodco Galaxy Pop for Network Ten’s Channel Eleven in Australia. The series also airs on ABC3 in Australia, after a late 2014 debut.

Get Ace follows the adventures of nerdy high school freshman Ace McDougal, who after being accidentally fitted with super hi-tech braces, finds himself thrust into a world of espionage.

Created by Galaxy Pop founders Gian Christian and Dina McPherson, the series recently nabbed awards for best animation at the Australian Writers Guild Awards and best music at the Screen Music Awards.

It’s currently in the running for best children’s television series at the upcoming Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards.

Toronto, Canada-based 9 Story Media Group has worldwide distribution rights for the show, excluding Australia and New Zealand.
