PBS KIDS has expanded the preschool math curriculum around its hit animated series Peg + Cat with the release of The Tree Problem, a brand-new iPad gaming app.

Targeting kids ages three to six, and available for US$2.99 on the App Store or at PBSKids.org, The Tree Problem features 30 increasingly challenging levels where players can help Peg get loyal sidekick Cat out of a tree by using foundational math concepts like spatial reasoning and measurement.

The app features a variety of locations from the show and six worlds that offer children numerous problem-solving opportunities, like rolling and stacking snowballs at the South Pole and growing plants on a farm.

The Tree Problem is the second app release based on the award-winning series created by Jennifer Oxley and Billy Aronson and co-produced by The Fred Rogers Company and 9 Story Media Group.

The property is also supported by a number of online games and the series continues to rack up international broadcast sales.
