DHX ramps up Teletubbies’ UK licensing activity

A host of new UK-based licensees join DHX Brands' growing roster of partners for the upcoming Teletubbies reboot.

DHX Media’s consumer products arm DHX Brands is continuing to expand its UK licensing program for the upcoming Teletubbies reboot.

A host of new products will be hitting British retailers in 2016. New licensees include Worlds Apart (furniture, accessories), Aykroyds (nightwear, underwear), Character World (bedding), Amscan (partyware), Bon Bon Buddies (confectionery), Posh Paws (bags), GB Eye (posters) and Zak UK (tableware). They join a growing slate of partners such as Character Options (global master toy ) and Egmont (books and magazines).

The deals were brokered by  the property’s UK-based licensing agent Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG), which is owned by DHX Media.

Commissioned by CBeebies from DHX, the 60-ep series is being produced by Darrall Macqueen in London. Expected to air in late 2015, the new Teletubbies features the same beloved characters as the original, but with a refreshed look.
