Boosting the brand’s presence in Europe, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment has secured a raft of new licensing deals for its superhero preschool series Tree Fu Tom.
In France, where the show airs on Gulli and Tiji, Biplano has lined up a Tree Fu Tom back-to-school range with ATM, character meet-and-greets with Evasion, and a publishing deal with Dragon D’Or.
Meanwhile in Spain, Montichelvo will produce a back-to-school range and El Ocho has secured a stationery gift range with CIFE. There’s also a publishing contract with Editorial Planeta, character meet-and-greets with Creativos Educativos and an app license with Play and Learn.
And finally in Greece, where a toy line launched this summer, Partner Plus has signed deals with Stamion for apparel, and Diakakis for a stationery and gift range.
To support this merch expansion with entertainment, FremantleMedia has signed DVD deals with Big Picture in Spain and Attica in Greece.
Tree Fu Tom is a co-production between FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment and the BBC for CBeebies, with animation by Blue Zoo Animation. It airs in 80 territories around the world, and Fremantle manages global distribution everywhere except the UK, as well as all ancillary rights.
