ZDF Enterprises has announced new broadcast deals for preschool series Q Pootle 5. The series has been acquired by CBeebies Africa, Ketnet (Belgium), SVT (Sweden), NPO (Netherlands) and NRK (Norway).
With the latest new partners, the series will air in more than 70 countries worldwide. It’s already been picked up by CBeebies in the UK, VGTRK (Russian Public TV), YLE 2 (Finland), TG4 (Ireland), HOP!TV (Israel), MTVA (Hungary), KiKA (Germany) and ABC (Australia).
The alien-themed preschool series (52 x 11 minutes) is produced in the UK by Snapper Productions and animated by Blue Zoo in London. It’s based on the bestselling books by children’s author and illustrator Nick Butterworth.
A range of Q Pootle 5 products are slated to hit shelves in the UK this fall/winter, including DVDs (Proper Distribution), TV tie-in books (Walker Books), a standalone magazine (Egmont), games and puzzles (Jumbo) and apparel from C&M Licensing.
