MerchMAKER gives Talking Tom fans creative control over apparel

A partnership between Outfit7 and Merchant On Demand will allow UK fans to pick the character, quote and image that appear on Talking Friends branded apparel.

In new apparel deal, Talking Tom lets the fans do all the chatting. Cyprus-based entertainment company Outfit7 has signed on London-based tech start-up and licensing company Merchant On Demand (MerchANT) to allow fans of Talking Tom and Friends to create their own branded apparel.

Launching on August 27, the Talking Tom and Friends MerchMAKER lets users in the UK and Ireland go online to customize certain apparel or accessories with a selection of characters, images and quotes. After checkout, people can pay either via PayPal or the parentally controlled OINK system.

Since the launch of Talking Tom and Friends in 2010, the app franchise has reached more than 1.7 billion downloads and maintains 230 million active monthly users. The brand has been extended to an animated web series, merchandise and an upcoming TV series being co-produced by Spain’s BRB Internacional.
