KreaKids at Egmont Publishing has developed and released Mia and Me – The Legend of Centopia, the first-ever app based on the popular girl-skewing mixed-media series Mia and Me from Lucky Punch (a joint venture between m4e and Gerhard Hahn), Rainbow and March Entertainment.

Available for US$2.99 as a side scroller game for iOS devices, the app targets kids ages six to 10 and features 10 levels with each level based on an episode from the TV series.

Users can play as Mia who embarks on a quest to save the land of Centopia and its inhabitants of elves and unicorns from the evil Queen Panthea. To acquire boosts, Mia must collect the tears and dust of unicorns.

While Mia and Me expands digitally, the TV series continues to reach more global markets. In May, Rainbow announced the launch of the series on Nick Jr. in the US and gained broadcast partners in France.

To date, the series airs in more than 80 territories worldwide, a second series is planned for late 2014/early 2015, a feature film for 2016 and the IP’s L&M program¬†continues to grow with global toy partner Mattel and German publishing partner Egmont among new licensees.
