For more than 55 years, the iconic Fisher-Price Little People brand has graced homes and dollhouses worldwide. And now the characters are stepping into the world of CG animation thanks to HIT Entertainment.

The first season of the Little People series has been greenlit for production by HIT, which is an affiliate of Fisher-Price owner Mattel.

With 52 episodes slated for production, the preschool show is set to debut in the fall of 2015. The series is being produced out of HIT’s UK content hub and will emphasizes the power of discovery to inspire imagination, creativity and thinking skills.

The collaboration between HIT and Fisher-Price is the first since HIT was acquired by Mattel back in 2012.

Available in more than 60 countries, the Little People brand has also been the number one property in Preschool Playsets in the US for the last two years, according to NPD Data.
