Former Iconix Brand Group executive Daniel Castle joins Saban Brands as its new MD of strategic business development.

In the new position, Castle is tasked with building Saban Brands through strategic and organic growth. He will also lead its strategy for new licensing and business developments, as well as brand acquisition. Working closely with Saban Brand’s president Elie Dekel, Castle will expand the company’ global reach.

Prior to joining Saban, Castle was VP of international and business development at Iconix. He helped expand the company internationally through direct to retailĀ and strategic partnerships, signing and managing what eventually became eight Iconix Joint Venture offices around the world.

Before Iconix, Castle was with In Private, a private label woven manufacturer. In this position, he managed the mass market retail and department store accounts focusing on Target, Kohl’s and J.C. Penney. In 2005, he founded the designer fashion label, Castle Starr.
