As anticipation mounts for the August re-release of mobile gaming phenomenon Flappy Bird, UK agent Lisle International and licensing company Character World have inked a new deal to bring Flappy Bird to kids bedding.

Character World, a licensed bedding and accessories company, is designing a line of bedroom textiles featuring Flappy Bird.

The Manchester-based company will design, manufacture and distribute the products to retailers across the UK and Eire. While the full product range has yet to be confirmed, it is expected that a duvet set and cushion (pictured) will be included in the product line’s launch this September.

FlappyBird is one of the biggest app gaming successes in recent years. The addictive game made headlines last February, when creator Dong Nguyen pulled the app from the Apple App Store and Google Play. The game is set to be re-released in August of this year. Its return coincides with Character World’s launch of the new bedroom textiles line.

Character World is currently looking for retail partners for the Flappy Bird brand. Flappy Bird is the latest high-profile brand to join Character World’s growing portfolio of games licenses.
