Nickelodeon goes global with Slime Cup

Nickelodeon has announced the launch of Slime Cup, a multiplatform experience for kids that will be supported by TV, online, retail and special events.

Nickelodeon has announced the launch of Slime Cup, a multiplatform experience for kids that will be supported by TV, online, retail and special events.

Through the 14-week multi-territory event, which will be headlined by SpongeBob SquarePants, four teams consisting of popular Nick characters will battle to win the coveted Slime Cup trophy. The campaign will feature both live-action and animated stars from teams Blue, Purple, Red and Yellow as they compete in three rounds of slime-filled challenges to earn slime points for their teams.

Sandwiched between two special TV events, Slime Cup will kick-off on-air in June and will culminate in August with the Slime Cup: Tournament of Champions programming event.

Participation will be driven across both Nickelodeon channels and digital sites and will be additionally supported in retail, theme park and on-the-ground events. Online, kids will be able to play games, take online polls and view behind-the-scenes content.
