Three-month-old producer and distributor Splash Entertainment, formerly known as Moonscoop LLC, has upped Mevelyn Noriega to the newly created position of SVP of sales and administration.
In her first order of business, Noriega will be attending the upcoming Busan Contents Market (BCM) in Seoul, Korea, as well as the Annecy International Animated Film Festival & Market in France.
Key titles for Splash Entertainment are animated series It’s Archie (26 x 30 minutes), Sabrina, Secrets of a Teenage Witch (26 x 30 minutes) and Kulipari: An Army of Frog (three x 66 minutes).
A 30-year veteran of the entertainment industry, Noriega was hired by Mike Young Productions in 2004 as a contract administrator. The following year, when MYP was acquired by France-based Moonscoop, she was promoted to VP of sales administration.
In February, Mike and Liz Young re-acquired 100% ownership of Moonscoop LLC and rebranded the children’s content production house as Splash Entertainment with CEO and executive chairman Nicolas Atlan as a new partner. The deal also allowed Splash Entertainment to take full control of free VOD network Kabillion, which attracts more than six million views per month.
