Barcelona, Spain-based electronics company Ingo Devices has joined forces with Disney in a European joint venture to create electronic toys and apps for iOS and Android devices based on popular properties from the House of Mouse.

The PrincessĀ“s Secret Diary app, which includes a magic wand to access the diary via tablet, and two Disney Junior cases (one for the home and one for the car) will be among first round of products set to launch later this year.

All three products will feature Disney content and apps, as well as Ingo-branded apps.

The deal follows the commercial success of Ingo’s tablet and microphone karaoke app based on and featuring songs from Disney’s popular teen-skewing telenovela Violetta. The tablet has been a best-seller across Spain, France and Italy.

Since launching in 2007, Ingo has expanded into the development and production of app toys, electronic toys and its own Ingo-branded electronics. It holds additional licensing partnerships with hit kid brands including Hello Kitty, Monster High, and Peppa Pig.

It currently conducts 70% of its business throughout Europe.

Interactive products have been a big boost for Disney of late, with sales growing 38% for Q1 2014 and the company continues to invest in the mobile space for preschoolers, especially in the UK with the recent launch of Disney Junior Play.
