DHX Media-owned licensing agency CPLG (Copyright Promotions Licensing Group) has announced that DHX Media’s current commercial director Stephen Gould will replace Vickie O’Malley as its UK managing director.
O’Malley leaves CPLG after serving 12 years with the company and Gould will step in reporting to CPLG’s CEO Peter Byrne.
Gould was previously commercial director at Ragdoll Worldwide, which was acquired by DHX Media for US$27.7 million in September 2013, and was responsible for growing global kids brands including In the Night Garden and Teletubbies.
Gould also previously held senior executive roles at RDF Rights (commercial director) and 4Kids Entertainment International (co-managing director), as well as positions with Kids Industries, Fox Kids Europe and HIT Entertainment.
The new move comes on the heels of DHX boosting its UK activity by hiring former HIT exec Paul Keech as its creative services director for its UK team.
