FranceTV Distribution to rep 500 Peanuts shorts

With Peanuts Worldwide significantly boosting its content strategy over the past year, the company has named FranceTV Distribution as its global distribution partner for 500 new Peanuts shorts, which will all be produced in France at Normaal Animation's studios.

With Peanuts Worldwide significantly boosting its content strategy over the past year, the company has named FranceTV Distribution as its global distribution partner for 500 new Peanuts shorts, which will all be produced in France at Normaal Animation’s studios.

The animated shorts from Normaal and France Televisions, which is based on the comic strip and characters by Charles Schulz,  precedes the upcoming Peanuts feature film from Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios that is set for global release next fall.

The Peanuts animations are based on the 18,000 daily comic strips created by Schulz and is packaged as 500 x 90-second shorts and 104 x seven-minute blocks.

Charlie Brown et al will be up for global distribution this fall, and the characters will make their first debut in France on France 3.
