The Beast Quest children’s fantasy books are headed to the interactive space thanks to a deal between UK rights holder Coolabi Group and mobile and online gaming platform Miniclip.

The deal will see the two parties jointly create games based on the global publishing brand. The first mobile game will launch this fall on iOS and Android platforms and will feature a free online version that will be hosted on the Miniclip website.

Through its mobile and social gaming network, Miniclip garners more than 100 million unique users per month, with a core demographic of seven- to 17-year-olds.

The Beast Quest books – and there are more than 100 of them – are published in the UK by Orchard Books and are owned by Working Partners. Penned by author Adam Blade, the stories focus on a battle between good defenders and evil beasts, following the young hero Tom and his best friend Elenna as they embark on a swashbuckling quest to rescue the kingdom of Avantia.
