Operation Ouch gets greenlight for a third season

Following a  BAFTA win for best children's factual entertainment show, a third season of  Operation Ouch!  has been commissioned by CBBC for UK production companies Maverick and Serious Lunch.

Following a  BAFTA win for best children’s factual entertainment show, a third season of  Operation Ouch!  has been commissioned by CBBC for UK production companies Maverick and Serious Lunch.

The companies have also secured a wider presence for the series – a UK version has been picked up by Discovery Kids Asia, Noga Israel and  Ultra TV in former Yugoslavia. Further deals in the Middle East & Turkey in negotiation.

The deals have been secured by Serious Lunch. The company holds worldwide rights ex UK for the series.  The second season  has already aired on CBBC and ABC Australia.

Following the  Operation Ouch book published by Little Brown, entitled Your Amazing Body in October, another book is currently in the works.

Operation Ouch follows identical twins Dr Chris and Dr Xand as they experiment and explore the world of medicine and biology to show and explain the things your body can do.  The first series has aired 3 times and a further series is currently on air on CBBC and ABC3.
