A new CGI special premiering next month on Cartoon Network marks the return of The Powerpuff Girls to the net, and Beatles legend Ringo Starr is also performing an original music video and song entitled “I Wish I was A Powerpuff Girl” for the special.

The global launch of Powerpuff TV special Dance Pantsed, produced by Cartoon Network Studios in association with UK-based Passion Pictures, is slated for January 20 before rolling out internationally in February.

The Powerpuff Girls brand, which recently celebrated its 15-year anniversary on Cartoon Network, will be featured in the special starring the series’ original voice cast of Catherine Cavadini as Blossom, Tara Strong as Bubbles, E.G. Daily as Buttercup, Roger L. Jackson as Mojo Jojo, Tom Kane as The Professor and Tom Kenny as The Mayor. Ringo Starr will be featured as flamboyant mathematician Fibonacci Sequins.

In anticipation of the special, Cartoon Network US will showcase 10 classic episodes of The Powerpuff Girls during a five-hour marathon on January 19. Plus, a new mobile game will launch alongside the special next month.
