Singapore-based August Media Holdings has sold the first season of its preschool series Ella Bella Bingo to Qatar-based Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC), also now known as Jeem TV.

The deal, which gives JCC exclusive Arabic language rights over Ella Bella Bingo in the Middle East and North African countries, comes three months after the news of Norwegian broadcaster NRK optioning another 52 episodes of the series.

Co-produced by August Media Holdings and Norway’s Kool Produktion, Ella Bella Bingo follows the adventures of happy-go-lucky Ella and her friends.

Following the success of its first season, Ella Bella Bingo has inspired published books, iOS apps and DVDs. The show’s second season has just wrapped production and is expected to hit TVs in Scandinavia and the ASEAN region during the first quarter of 2014. The third season is already under production and will be ready starting in the summer of 2014.
