UK-based pubcaster CBBC’s series The Dumping Ground, the sequel to The Story of Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker Returns, has been renewed for another 13 episodes plus 10 exclusive three-minute webisodes.

The webisodes will run parallel to the stories that are broadcast on the channel and will feature an exclusive storyline that will run online for 10 weeks, culminating in a cliff-hanger that will be resolved in the last episode of the TV broadcast.

Season two was filmed on location in the North East of England and will air on CBBC in the new year. The season will follow more of the dilemmas, dramas, friendships and challenges faced by young people in care.

The show’s first season debuted in January of this year on CBBC and BBC HD.
