Cupcake Digital cooks up Yo Gabba Gabba! partnership

New York-based developer Cupcake Digital, the outlet behind recent Animal Planet and Strawberry Shortcake mobile offerings, has been tapped by DHX Media to develop a series of preschool apps based on the Yo Gabba Gabba! brand.

New York-based developer Cupcake Digital, the outlet behind recent Animal Planet and Strawberry Shortcake mobile offerings, has been tapped by DHX Media to develop a series of preschool apps based on the Yo Gabba Gabba! brand.

Cupcake will create deluxe activity apps designed for children ages five and under that are inspired by the high-energy series that airs on Nick Jr. as well as the Yo Gabba Gabba! live stage show.

The first offering is scheduled to launch in the winter as part of DHX’s Yo Gabba Gabba! marketing and licensing strategy, which kicks off with the inagural live holiday tour and A Very Awesome Yo Gabba Gabba! Christmas DVD. The initial app will feature DJ Lance Rock and will bring to life the popular Party in My Tummy song. The app will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and the Barnes & Noble for NOOK store.
