Studio 100 sews up Chello Central Europe deal

Chello Central Europe has picked up exclusive Basic Pay TV rights to 78 x 12-minute episodes of the brand new revived CGI animation series Vic The Viking and Heidi (39 x 22 minutes) for broadcast on its kids channel Minimax in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2013 and 2015.

Studio 100 Media, the media sales division of the global family entertainment company Studio 100, has inked a deal with Chello Central Europe, the international content division of Liberty Global, for two children’s animation properties.

Chello Central Europe has picked up exclusive Basic Pay TV rights to 78 x 12-minute episodes of the brand new revived CGI animation series Vic The Viking and Heidi (39 x 22 minutes) for broadcast on its kids channel Minimax in Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2013 and 2015.

First published in 1963, Vic the Viking is based on the children’s novels by Swedish author Runer Jonsson. Targeted at five to eight year olds the series follows the adventures of the small but powerful Viking .

Written by Swiss Author Johanna Spyri in 1880 as Heidi´s Years of Wandering and LearningHeidi has become one of the best-selling books ever written and is among the best-known works in Swiss literature, with 50 million books sold and translated into over 50 languages.
