Australian public broadcaster ABC TV has picked up 30 hours of programming from Zodiak Kids’ children’s catalogue, including preschool series Mister Maker and Waybuloo.

The acquisition follows on the heels of Zodiak’s wholly-owned studio, The Foundation, announcing its production of Mister Maker Around the World, which will bow on CBeebies this fall. This program has now been scooped up by ABC TV alongside the re-license of the first series of Mister Maker (20 x 20 minutes).

Mister Maker DVD’s have already been performing strongly in the Australian market, and ABC DVD has accrued more than 130,000 unit sales since the first title launched in 2010.

As part of the agreement, ABC has also picked up the third series of Zodiak’s Waybuloo.

And in related news, New Zealand’s TVNZ has picked up the first three series of Mister Maker for its preschool channel Kidzone24. The first episodes are due to broadcast later this year.
