Nickelodeon US has greenlit a 20-episode second season of its original animated comedy Sanjay and Craig.

The series follows the adventures of titular characters as they embark on kid-inspired quests. It was created by Jim Dirschberger, Jay Howell and Andreas Trolf.  Dirschberger, Howell and Thurop Van Norman are co-executive producers, and award-winning animation team Chris Viscardi and Will McRobb return as executive producers. According to Nielsen, Sanjay and Craig is the number-one new animated series of the year with all kid demos. The season premiere drew 3.6 million total viewers, and to date, it is averaging 3 million total viewers and posting double-digit gains with kids two to 11 (+23%) and kids six to 11 (+29%).
