Poppy Cat greenlit for second season

Following its top ratings in the UK, US, France and Poland, UK-based Coolabi's animated preschool series Poppy Cat has been greenlit for a second season.

Following its top ratings in the UK, US, France and Poland, UK-based Coolabi’s animated preschool series Poppy Cat has been greenlit for a second season.

Production on the new 52 x 11-minute season is underway with delivery expected for spring 2014. Poppy Cat,  based on a bestselling book series by Brit author Lara Jones, is a co-pro by Coolabi Productions and King Rollo Films, and the series is distributed by CAKE Entertainment.

The series’ commissioning broadcasters are Nick Jr. (UK and Australia) and Sprout (US). To date, almost 150 global territories have picked up the humorous, imaginative series and the IP has expanded its licensing program to include apps, children’s rides, gift accessories, prints, and a recent deal with online retailer Heroes For Kids.
