Following a number of new series commissions, UK pubcaster CBeebies is adding another new preschool series - Chop Chop! (working title) - to its slate.

Commissioned by BBC Worldwide and CBeebies UK, the series pitched at Cartoon Forum 2012 was created and is being produced by London-based Studio AKA. The 52 x seven-minute series follows the adventures of a diverse collection of animals and personalities known as the Squirrel Club.

Each episode of the series will see The Squirrels performing an activity suggested by Chop Chop, with badges awarded for completing their tasks. Activity sheets and virtual badges matching each episode will be available for download from the program’s website.

The series is expected to launch next fall across CBeebies channels worldwide. BBC Worldwide holds the commercial rights for the series, including global channel broadcast, distribution and merchandising.
