Long-time FremantleMedia executive David Luner has been promoted to the newly created position of EVP of brand partnerships and franchise management for FremantleMedia North America effective immediately.
Reporting directly to FremantleMedia North America CEO Thom Beers, Luner will be tasked in his new position with overseeing all of FMNA’s ancillary businesses including digital, integrated marketing and brand partnerships, licensing, and live events. His group will oversee opportunities for all of FMNA’s Kids & Family Entertainment properties including Tree Fu Tom (Sprout) and Grojband (Cartoon Network), which both recently launched in the US.
Luner switches over from his most recent role as EVP for digital and licensing for the former FremantleMedia Enterprises Group, where he led partnerships for successful franchises including American Idol, America’s Got Talent, The X Factor, Price Is Right, Family Feud and Let’s Make A Deal.
On the digital side, he took a leading role in pioneering Facebook and Twitter voting partnerships, synchronized second-screen branded content apps, and digital partnerships with YouTube, iTunes, Habbo and Shazam.
