Nickelodeon has upped Pamela Kaufman to the broader role of CMO and president of consumer products for Nickelodeon.
In her new expanded role, Kaufman will continue to report to Nickelodeon Group President Cyma Zarghami and will be tasked with overseeing the kidsnet’s domestic consumer products business comprising licensing and merchandising for some of Nick’s iconic properties such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer.
As Nick’s current CMO, she shepherds the company’s overall marketing efforts, including trade, consumer and retail executions for events and initiatives including the Kids’ Choice Awards, the recently launched Nick App, the Nick Universe at Mall of America and the Nickelodeon experience on Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Prior to joining Nick in 1997, she was VP of promotions at Turner Broadcasting System, where she helmed promotions for IPs including The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo and Johnny Quest.
The latest move follows the early July promotion of Andrea Fasulo to the post of SVP of retail and movie marketing, Nickelodeon Group, and the recent hiring of Disney’s Don Vlachos as Nick’s SVP of retail sales and marketing.
