JimJam gets local in Poland

Chello Zone and Polsat Group-owned children's channel, aptly named Polsat JimJam, has launched its own 24-hour localized feed in Poland for kids ages two to six.

Chello Zone and Polsat Group-owned children’s channel, aptly named Polsat JimJam, has launched its own 24-hour localized feed in Poland for kids ages two to six.

The separate feed, which officially launched on July 1, will air programming selected for the market and includes fully localized content and advertising.

The dedicated feed has already started to broadcast classic, feature-length animated films including Anastasia, Beauty and the Beast, Camelot and Gulliver’s Travels. Next month, the animated series Clay Play will  also air on the channel and September will mark the Polish premiere of animated series What’s The Big Idea? Polish titles already airing on the channel include Bolek & Lolek, Reksio and Country Mouse, City Mouse (Podróze z Aleksanderem i Emilia). More will be added to the Polish portfolio in the coming months.

JimJam is currently available in more than 60 countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia to approximately 19 million subscribers.  Polsat JimJam first launched as break-out of the schedule in 2009, and the channel has been in the Polish market since 2007.
