marblemedia is pacting with Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun to bring the Romanian music talent show format Mom Made Me a Star to North America.
The hook is that the reality TV series has a performance competition like The Voice and American Idol whose contestants are judged by their own mothers.
The indie producer remains tight-lipped as the deal has not been signed.
But marblemedia has been tapped by Braun, who also represents Carly Rae Jepsen, to adapt the show from Romania’s Prima TV and producer Media Factory for the US and Canadian markets.
The format sale was completed by Small World IFT, which is selling the Romanian show internationally.
