Bazooka Candy Brands is the newest partner to join the Despicable Me 2 mulitplatform merchandising program. Aside from branded candy, the company will launch two custom promotional games at Candymania.com.

The Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment 3D/CG film, which hits theaters on July 3, will inspire limited edition versions of Bazooka’s top-selling candies including Ring Pop, Juicy Drop Pop, Jumbo Push Pop and Baby Bottle Pop. The sweets will be available in the US and beyond, marking Bazooka’s first promotional foray into Europe, Asia, Latin America and South Africa.

On the branded gaming front, Mission ImPOPsible has launched as a multi-level game that takes kids through the plot of Despicable Me 2. The second game, Minion Golf, lets users attempt to putt candy to their Minion friends. Bazooka will create a custom TV spot that will direct kids to visit the games at Candymania.com.  The spots will debut this month and will air through the opening weekend of Despicable Me 2‘s release in North America.
