The power of the second screen has led Gulli TV to select Redakai: Conquer the Kairu as the first broadcast-synchronized, second-screen app based on an animated series in France.

The  Marathon Media/Spin Master series is heading to smartphones and tablets through the use of watermarking SyncNow technology from Civolution. The free Big Redakai Challenge app syncs smart devices with the TV. When the app is opened during the broadcast of the series, the device recognizes the show and allows fans to interact with the  plot, win prizes, and collect virtual trading cards. For instance, there are 12 new cards in the last 13 episodes of the series related to the characters and plot lines that can be collected digitally.

In France, Redakai: Conquer the Kairu has aired on Canal J since October 2011, followed by daily broadcasts on Gulli in February 2012. The second season of Redakai debuted on Gulli in April and already ranks as the number-one afternoon show on the channel.
