Gordon tasked with heading sales strategy for BBC Worldwide

BBC TV and Commercial exec Anna Gordon has stepped into the role of director of global sales strategy for business development and planning at BBC Worldwide.

BBC TV and Commercial exec Anna Gordon has stepped into the role of director of global sales strategy for business development and planning at BBC Worldwide.

Her new role within the BBC’s commercial arm will include responsibility for high-level sales strategies and supporting the company’s sales teams at major markets including BBC Worldwide Showcase, MIPCOM and MIPTV.

Gordon is currently head of commercial development in the company’s Commercial Agency. Previously, she worked in BBC Strategy, most recently as the deputy head of strategy in BBC Television. Before joining the BBC, she spent five years as a strategy consultant, working with large blue chip multinationals spanning sectors such as media, FMCG automotive and chemical industries.

Gordon’s appointment follows BBC Worldwide’s reorganization last month, which saw the business reconfigured from divisional to geographical reporting lines across seven major markets.
