Paris-based Mediatoon Distribution has inked new sales in Latin America with Ecuador TV and Brazil’s TV Cultura.
The Ecuadorian public channel has picked up a package of series including two seasons of the CG-animated The Garfield Show (104 x 11 minutes) and Contraptus (78 x eight minutes) as well as the three animated 75-minute Tintin feature films. The programs will air starting next June. Contraptus (pictured) already airs on FETV(Panama), Canal 22 (Mexico), TNU (Uruguay), Ecuador (ECTV) and Brazil (Globosat).
TV Cultura in Brazil has picked up three of the Asterix animated feature films entitled Asterix & Cleopatra, Asterix The Gaul, and Asterix, the twelve Tasks.
Mediatoon already distributes to eight countries in Latin America including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chili and Uruguay, to which Mediatoon has sold more than 600 hours of programming in the past three years.
