Disney starlet gets Random House book deal
It looks like Disney’s Shake it Up stars are doing exactly that in the tween/teen media space. Following news of star Zendaya Coleman topping girls’ style lists, her co-star Bella Thorne has inked a YA book deal with Random House Children’s Books.
Fifteen-year-old Thorne will co-write Autumn Falls with author Elise Allen. The planed series of books tells the story of a 14-year-old girl whose high school life is infused with magic.
The Delacorte Press imprint will publish the multiple book series, with the first book scheduled for a summer 2014 release.
The books mark Thorne’s publishing debut, although she’s well-versed in the world of music publishing. She was recently signed to Hollywood Records and her first single TTYLXOX was included in the Shake It Up soundtrack that has sold more than 400,000 singles to date.
