Following the sale of Tree Fu Tom to US preschool channel Sprout and an internal reorganization to focus more on kids content and distribution, FremantleMedia Kids & Family officially has children’s content on all major US kids nets including Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and The Hub.

Tree Fu Tom will premiere on Sprout on Earth Day, which falls on April 22. The series features former Doctor Who star David Tennant (voice of Twigs) and takes place in the CGI-animated world of Treetopolis.

With animation by UK-based  Blue Zoo Animation, Tree Fu Tom is a co-production between FremantleMedia Kids & Family and CBeebies In-house Production. The series originally launched in the UK on CBeebies, where it became the highest-rated program on the channel last year for children ages four to six.

Under the leadership of Sander Schwartz, FremantleMedia Kids & Family has been busy. The company’s CGI action-comedy Max Steel recently premiered on Disney XD US, and the animated Alien Dawn just hit Nicktoons.  The previously announced Bindi’s Bootcamp US premiere will take place on Starz Kids & Family next month, and FME’s Wizards vs Aliens will make its American debut on The Hub this summer. Finally, the company’s animated musical comedy Grojband is set to premiere on Cartoon Network later this year.
