HIT Entertainment and Corus-owned Nelvana are in production on 52 new episodes of the preschool series Mike the Knight.

The second season, comprising 52 x 12-minute CG-animated episodes, is in production and is set to begin delivery to broadcasters late this spring. In the second season, viewers will be introduced to Mike’s father and role model, the King of Glendragon, who has been away exploring faraway lands.

Mike the Knight season two will start airing in May in Canada on Treehouse, followed by this summer in the UK on CBeebies and later in the fall in the US on Nick Jr.

To date, the first season has been sold to 27 broadcasters in 112 territories and has been the focus of a robust consumer products program.
