A new tween fantasy trilogy entitled The Luck Uglies is now in the hands of HarperCollins following the publishing house’s UK and US divisions’ successful preemptive bid for world rights to the series.

The series is penned by debut author Paul Durham and is set to publish in both print and digital formats in February 2014.

The Luck Uglies tells the story of 11-year-old Rye, who has grown up hearing whispers of the Luck Uglies – a legendary clan of mysterious outlaws. One day a Luck Ugly steps from the shadows to save her life and Rye proceeds to uncover the secrets at the heart of her world.
