Sesame Workshop and Publications International are tapping the power of Apple devices to help boost kids’ memory skills. The companies have launched an iOS app that is based on their Look and Find print book series.

Look and Find Elmo on Sesame Street, aimed at kids ages two to six, is designed to hone observation and memory skills by having Elmo encourage kids to search through a series of scenes to find objects that are hidden in plain sight. The app also features memory games and a sticker book.

Sesame Workshop says the app falls in line with internal research studies on touch devices that suggest there is high appeal and replay value when children are asked to search for objects.
