The Animal Planet television network, which is currently available in more than 96 million US homes, is expanding its licensed offerings to include a new apparel line for boys and young men.

The clothing line from Olaes Enterprises will debut later this year and will include cotton and cotton-blend t-shirts, as well as fleece items featuring animal designs inspired by popular Animal Planet programming. A wide range of retail outlets are targeted for the launch of the line including department store chains, mass market retailers, mid-tier chains, e-commerce sites and specialty chains.

The deal with Olaes Enterprises was brokered on behalf of Animal Planet by its licensing agent, the Joester Loria Group, for the US market. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Animal Planet apparel line will benefit the principal partners of R.O.A.R (Reach Out. Act. Respond), Animal Planet’s national campaign that serves as a voice for animals.
