Preschool channel JimJam launches Benelux feed

Global preschool channel JimJam, which reaches 17 million subscribers worldwide, is heading to the Benelux region, marking the fourth localized version of the channel.

The channel will be dedicated to Dutch-speaking viewers and launches this month. Shows like Bob The Builder, Jakers: The Adventures of Piggley Winks and Angelina Ballerina will be transmitted via platform partners in Belgium and the Netherlands including Ziggo, UPC Nederland, CAIW Media, Glashart Media and Delta Kabelcomfort, with further operators in discussion.

New titles have also been acquired especially for the market, with series of Miffy & Friends, Frog and Friends and Paz on air starting this month.

JimJam-owner and global broadcaster Chello Zone is providing media handling and distribution services for the dedicated feed. Since its launch in 2006, JimJam has expanded across seven feeds and into more than 60 territories across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The channel is now available in 13 languages.
