The first English-language Brazilian cartoon is set to make its US debut this April on US cable/satellite channel Starz Kids & Family.

Announced at this week’s Kidscreen Summit in New York, the Brazilian TV Producers (BTVP) has launched Newbie and the Disasternauts created by Sao Paulo’s 44 Toons and TV Cultura.

Newbie is a 10-year-old kid from the future who crashes his space ship on the small asteroid of Pea Moon. The 2D-animated series is aimed at kids ages six to nine
