Through his company Surprise Bag, Emmy-nominated Frank Saperstein will work with Canadian animation and digital media studio Bardel Enterainment to create and distribute new proprietary animated productions.
Saperstein, who has worked on such properties as Ren & Stimpy and Kong, will serve as Bardel’s executive producer under a non-exclusive partnership agreement.
Prior to launching his own company, Saperstein most recently served as SVP of Family Television at Entertainment One Group. Surprise Bag currently creates, develops, produces and distributes content worldwide.
At the moment, Bardel is co-producting the preschool series Lah Lah’s Adventures with Stella Productions in Australia and a primetime animated series entitled Mother Up! with Breakthrough Films and Mass Animation.
Through the partnership with Surprise Bag, Bardel hopes to amplify its creative animation services as well. The studio’s current service contracts include Teenage Mutant Turtles and Monsters Vs Aliens for Nickelodeon, Teen Titans for Warner Bros. and The Alphabet Factory for LeapFrog.
