Elmo is giving new children’s book platform Put Me In The Story his nod of approval, as Sesame Workshop has become the first publishing partner for the iPad app that was published by Sourcebooks in November.

The partnership will make Sesame Street books available on the Put Me In The Story iPad app, which, as its name suggests, allows children to act as the star in picture books.

Elmo Loves You will be the first of two Sesame Street books to launch on the platform. The app on the iPad is now available on the App Store for free, and Elmo Loves You will be available in February as an in-app purchase for US$4.99.  Custom print book orders will also be available at www.putmeinthestory.com.

The Sesame Street books will join My Name Is Not Isabella and My Name Is Not Alexander, the picture books by Jennifer Fosberry, which were recently added to the app and website.
