Canada-based Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana Enterprises has secured a multi-platform partnership with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment that will incorporate its preschool property Franklin and Friends into the new SeaWorld Kids brand.

In-park Franklin characters, TV specials, books and merchandise are set to launch at Sea World Florida in January, at Sea World California in March, and at the park’s Texas location in April.

Features in the works include two new Franklin and Friends on-screen specials focusing on the natural world and co-branded books published by Corus Entertainment’s Kids Can Press.

The new CGI-animated TV series, Franklin and Friends is based on the bestselling Kids Can Press-published children’s book series by Paulette Bourgeois and Brenda Clark. Nick Jr. airs Franklin and Friends in the US while Corus preschool channel Treehouse broadcasts the show across Canada.

Franklin and Friends is a Canada-Singapore co-production from Nelvana Limited and Infinite Frameworks.
