Infant/toddler-targeting TV network BabyFirst Americas has added new live-action musical series The Dance Time Boys! to its daily lineup for 2013.

The series, created by musical director, producer and percussionist Peter Michael Escovedo III (High School Musical “Get in the Picture”), features the dancing and singing talents of five-year-old cousins PB and Jam who visit different neighborhood locations in each episode to inspire kids to get up and dance.

Original music written and arranged by Escovedo, who is the son of Santana percussionist, Pete Escovedo, is featured in the series.

The news comes on the heels of BabyFirst’s announcement last month that it is moving from a subscription-based model to a basic advertiser-supported network launching with only three minutes per hour of advertising avails.  Billboarded blocks will also be available.

Since launching in 2006, the channel now reaches 35 million homes on Comcast systems across the US, and on both DIRECTV and Dish Network.  The channel is projected to reach more than 50 million homes by mid-2013 and also recently named Trifecta Media as its exclusive advertiser sales rep.
