Percy3D signs Caillou deal with DHX

Toronto-based video personalization platform Percy3D has acquired the worldwide digital party product rights to preschool property Caillou in a new three-year deal with DHX Media.

Toronto-based video personalization platform Percy3D has acquired the worldwide digital party product rights to preschool property Caillou in a new three-year deal with DHX Media.

The PercyVites digital product line, including invitations, thank you notes, and party memory compilations in English and French, is available beginning today at PBSKids.org, Ty’s ToyBox, Caillou Facebook and www.percyvites.com.

Targeted to preschoolers and their parents, the line uses technology that integrates the names and pictures of both the child celebrating a birthday and his or her invited friends into customized clips featuring characters from Caillou.

Percy3D expects to launch the products in more languages in the future. An example of how the personalization technology works can be seen in the company’s PercyFX iOS app that lets users personalize movie clips of Hollywood blockbusters from Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures.
