Slugterra slings into mobile games

Canada’s Nerd Corp Entertainment has developed and published its first iOS mobile app, Slug it Out based on its hit animated action comedy series Slugterra.

Set to launch December 13 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices in North America, the action puzzle game lets players play as hero Eli Shane and do battle against the evil Dr. Blakk. Features include eight different collectible slugs that transform into battle beasts when fired from blasters.

Slugterra bowed on Disney XD US on October 15 and on Disney XD Canada on September 8, and more than 170 countries will launch the series in 2013. A new toy line based on the Nerd Corps series from Jakks Pacific will also hit US retail shelves next year.
